Early on the morning of the day before Good Friday 2009 we received a visit from a representative of a Luton based Motorbodies company, following advice given to them by a previous client of ours. The company had suffered a total data loss on a pair of server based raid drives as a result of both drives failing. Neither drive was accessible by normal means and they had all but given up hope of recovering their valuable data.
DataTech D.T.P. staff worked over the bank holiday weekend resulting in the original drives, together with a new hard drive containing their successfully recovered data, being sent by special delivery to ensure that they were on their desk first thing Tuesday morning when they returned to work following the bank holiday break.
Case File:
A distraught mother visited us clutching her daughters laptop computer. The computer had been running slowly so she (the daughter) decided to use the built in repair facility, not realizing that this would perform a full re-format of the computers hard drive. This resulted in almost two years worth of ‘A level’ course work together with countless music, video and photographic files being lost.
Within three days she was able to pick up her computer together with four DVD’s containing almost all of her lost data and files.
